Online Caribbean Holdem Rules
Caribbean Holdem is very similar to Caribbean Stud Poker, with the main difference being the amount of hole cards players are dealt. In order to start a hand in Online Caribbean Holdem you need to place an ante bet out on the table just like you would in Caribbean Stud.
When you put the ante bet on the table the dealer will deal you two cards face up and deal themselves two cards face down. Once the Online Caribbean Holdem dealer has dealt out the hole cards to each player, the dealer places the first three community cards on the table. After the first three community cards are on the table you need to decide whether you want to continue playing the hand.
If you want to continue playing the hand, you will need to place another bet next to your ante bet that is twice the size of your ante bet, which is known as the call bet. If you do not continue playing the hand then you can fold your hand and the dealer will take away your ante bet.
When you do continue playing a hand the dealer will flip over two more community cards and then you will make the best five card poker hand possible. You can use the five community cards and your two hole cards to make the best five-card hand.
The dealer needs to have an A-K in order to qualify for the hand so if the dealer does not qualify, then they will just fold. When the dealer fails to qualify in Caribbean Holdem, players win even money on their ante bets. If the dealer does qualify, the player must show down a better Caribbean Holdem hand than the dealer in order to collect on your bet and book a win.
In Online Caribbean Holdem, the better poker hand you have, the higher the payout when you beat the dealer in a showdown. The payouts for winning hands are as followed.
•  High Card, One Pair, Two Pair, Three of a Kind and Straight – Pays 1:1
•  Flush – Pays 2:1
•  Full House – Pays 3:1
•  Four of a Kind – Pays 10:1
•  Straight Flush – Pays 20:1
•  Royal Flush – Pays 100:1
In addition to the regular payout for showdown hands, there is an optional progressive jackpot in the Caribbean Holdem Game, which pays independent of the dealer‘s ability to qualify a hand. The payout rate of the progressive jackpot pays out a percentage of the jackpot based on hand strength. The presence and payout rate of the Caribbean Holdem progressive jackpot varies based on the casino in which you playCaribbean Holdem online.
When playing Online Caribbean Holdem Poker, a player is best served continuing when he holds a hand higher in value than the minimum hand required for a dealer to qualify. The dealer requires A-K to qualify. As a result, we want to play hands of similar strength and higher, while throwing the weaker Caribbean Holdem hands away.
